NFoPP QCF Level 3 Technical Award in Real Property Auctioneering

This qualification is open to all and is a requirement for Membership of the National Association of Valuers and Auctioneers (NAVA) Propertymark. It is an introductory qualification ideal for candidates wanting to gain or improve existing knowledge in the key areas related to Real Property Auctioneering.

This qualification is a Level 3 qualification within the Qualifications and Credit Framework, which means it is broadly equivalent to A-Level in standard.

How do I begin

Step 3 - Click here to enrol with us to become a candidate. On the enrollment form, you will select the qualification you wish to be registered for *

Step 5 - Begin studying towards the qualification using study materials (if purchased), the Qualification Specification document and conduct self research to fully prepare for the examinations 

Step 6  - When you are examination ready, you can log into your online candidate account to book your examinations or by telephoning Pearson Vue directly (tel: 0161 8557 537)

* If you have already enrolled with us and wish to undertake further qualifications then you will need to log into your existing online candidate account to register for another qualification.

The Qualification Structure

This qualification is divided into 4 units:

Unit 1: Health & Safety, Security & General Law Relating to Real Property Auctioneering (RPA1)
Unit 2: Law Relating to Real Property Auctions (RPA2)
Unit 3: Real Property Auctioneering Practice and Procedures (RPA3)
Unit 4: Property Appraisal & the Auction Process (RPA4)


Assessment Method

Each of the 4 units are assessed by a multiple-choice examination which is taken on a computer at a UK Pearson Vue test centre.

Each examination consists of 20 multiple-choice questions which must be answered within 30 minutes and a pass mark of 70% must be achieved (this equates to 14 out of 20 questions answered correctly). 


Results & Certification

You will be notified of your provisional results at the test centre immediately after finishing your exams with a scoresheet at the bottom of the document, highlighting areas in which you have scored high/low in for your reference.

A formal results letter from ourselves will be posted to your registered postal address confirming your results. These results letters are typically posted out the Monday after you have sat your examination(s). 

A full qualification certificate from ourselves will be posted to your registered postal address within four weeks of completion of all 4 units.  The fee for this certificate is included within the examination fees paid.


Identification

You must show two forms of identification at the test centre in order to be permitted to sit your examinations.  The identification presented MUST match your registered name information on your candidate account.

How long will the qualification take

This really depends on how you undertake the necessary study and if you have previous experience within real property auctioneering.  Although you do not have to be employed or have previous experience within an agency, you will find your studies more relevant and maybe easier than if you have no experience.  

Candidates have 3 years from their date of registration to achieve all required units to complete their qualification. If candidates fail to pass all units within this 3 year timescale, they will be required to re-register.

Candidates will be able to carry over results of any previously achieved units which are still available for assessment at the time of re-registration.

Examinations Costs:

All examination fees are paid to Pearson Vue and cannot be taken by Propertymark Qualifications. 

All 4 units taken back to back on the same day by one candidate £125 (promo code TA_FOUR_EXAMS16)

3 units taken back to back on the same day by one candidate £100 (promo code TA_THREE_EXAMS16)

2 units taken back to back on the same day by one candidate £80 (promo code TA_TWO_EXAMS16)

If booked individually (1) unit taken £50 

Retakes will incur the same costs and these prices apply to all candidates.

Booking, rescheduling or cancelling examinations:

You can do so via your online candidate account or by telephoning our examination supplier, Pearson Vue directly (tel: 0161 8557 537).  Propertymark Qualifications cannot book, amend or cancel examinations.

Pearson Vue has approximately 150 participating test centres throughout the UK which are available for examinations on demand during working hours. 

Examination fees are payable at the time of booking by debit/credit card.

Cancellation Policy:

There is a 72 hour cancellation policy in place by ourselves and Pearson Vue.

If you need to reschedule or cancel an examination, you will need to provide 72 hours notice prior to the examination.  If you are within the 72 hour cancellation period, you will not receive a refund and this information is stipulated in booking confirmation emails.

Re-sitting examinations: 

You can attempt an examination as many times as necessary until the unit has been passed.
Retakes can be booked via your online candidate account or by telephoning Pearson Vue directly (tel: 0161 8557 537) the following day however, you will not be able to physically resit the failed examination until 10 days have passed due to a 10 day study period.
